
About Daniela
Daniela Alzérreca was born in Santiago de Chile and graduated in 2010 from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Chile under Prof. Lucía Gana. In the same year, she received a scholarship from the Friends of the Municipal Theatre of Santiago; from 2015 to 2017 she was also supported by an international scholarship from the Ibáñez-Atkinson Foundation.
In 2015 she was admitted to the class of vocal professor Rosa Domínguez at the Schola Cantorum in Basel. She was a finalist in the prestigious Maria Callas Singing Competition in Brazil, where she won third prize, and also a finalist in the competition in Trujillo, Peru.
As an active participant, she attended masterclasses with Alessandro de Marchi, Margret Honig, Silvia Saas, and the Lotte Lehmann Akademie. Her repertoire includes roles such as Monica (The Medium), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), and Micaëla (Carmen), as well as works including Stabat Mater (Pergolesi) and Oratorio de Noël (Saint-Saëns). She has also performed as a soloist in chamber music and oratorio settings.
Her artistic career has taken her to various European cities and countries, where she gained valuable experience as a singer and artist. In 2019, she completed the second year of the Music Pedagogy in Voice program at Zurich University of the Arts. She now lives in Basel, where she continues to develop her career as both a singing teacher and performer.
